The girl paints in her studio, but can’t get a painting that satisfies her. So she goes from lost to angry. Taking out her aggression on the ball. But all the anger bounces back at her, making her suffer even more, feeling like a failure and curling up in pain, when the light comes on and he finds the smiling face on the floor and suddenly it doesn’t feel so bad to keep on keeping on.
The inspiration for this story was myself. During the process of making the Bishop, I had been suffering from the fact that I had no source of inspiration. Then I heard a song and felt relieved. People always have to accept that they are not good enough, but there is no point in suffering. It’s better to adjust your mindset and start again from scratch.
week 1: Script
Project 2 Week 10: Final Video
My main work this week was editing and soundtracking. As there wasn’t enough time to render. I ended up having to shoot the screen as the final output of my work. Below is my video and showreel.
Project2 Week 9: Lighting
This week I tried lighting and pre-rendering some of the animations. This was due to another full project that needed to be rendered. I may not end up having time to render this one. So this week I exported 10 frames to see the results.

Project2 Week 8: Layout Test
This week I have combined the two animations and tried to add textures. Next week I will focus on lighting and rendering.
Project2 Week 7: Animation Cut 16-17
The animation process went very well this week. I finished this part of the animation very quickly. I will put the two clips together next week to test the coherence.
Project2 Week 6: Model 2 Test
The second scene I intercepted required expression animation to enrich the performance. Therefore the previous model was no longer suitable. I found a new model to complete the performance. This will also be a good reference for my final project rigging.
Project2 Week 5: Animation Cut 8-13
This section of the performance is mainly physical in nature, so I think the choice of model is appropriate. To make the movements match, I have exported the reference video as a sequence to be placed at the back.
Project2 Week 4: Model 1 Test
I took Alan’s advice and searched for Bodymech’s baby model to test my animation performance.
Project2 Week3: Animation Reference Shots
Based on the experience of Project 1. This time I firmly shot the reference video. About the selection of paragraphs. Because I think the animation scenes cut 8-17 have a lot of action appearing. Completing this part of the animation would help me take the pressure off the final design section.
Project2 Week2: Modelling attempts
This week I started trying to modeling but it didn’t work very well. And thinking about the time cost, I decided to use other models first instead. But that doesn’t mean I give up completely. Because I want to prepare this work as a graduation project. So I will overcome this difficulty and finish the modelling during July-August. This term I will start by testing the fluency and dramatic effect of the animation using other models.
