Week 3:Walk Cycle

This week, I learned how to create walking animations by using a ball with legs. First, I created an animation of walking in place based on Alan’s preview video. While paying attention to the leg movements, I also focused on the rotation of the waist. When creating a walking animation, I noticed some flickering in the knees, which was later found to be caused by stretching the legs too straight at the highest point. By adjusting the curves at this step, the walking loop can be smoother. During the process of moving, I found that adjusting to the side view to determine the relative position of the front and back feet is reliable. This effectively avoids the drifting of the feet.
